LCPL Christopher J. Phoenix-Jacob Levy of Jacksonville, NC served honorably in the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Levy died December 10, 2011 at the age of 21 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, of wounds suffered by sniper fire while serving in Afghanistan’s Helmand province. He donated his organs and gave seven people a better life.
